Description

CD Chants Et Danses Baroques De L'amazonie Ensamble Moxos (Bolivie)

What mysteries of artistic creation and transmission over the centuries lie behind the ceremonies of the young Moxeno Indians of eastern Bolivia? These guardians of the archives of Baroque music, which they collect on their voyages up the river Mamoré, reconstitute year after year the musical heritage of the famousJesuit missions of Amazonia, until recently thought to be entirely the work of the Italian composer Domenico Zipoli.
