CD Maktub Orquestra Arab de Barcelona

Spain/Morocco

Formed and based in Barcelona, the OAB (Orquestra Arab de Barcelona) is one of the most important groups of its kind in Spain. MAKTUB (Destiny) features Paco Ibáñez, Omar Sosa and Sergio Ramos (former drummer with Ojos de Brujo).

The repertoire shows a variety of influences from Arab and northern Mediterranean music, and is sung in Arabic. OAB presented the album last October during the Womex Festival in Seville.
